Event Details

We Are Youth Workers
Please join the Youth Worker Brown Bags for a fun day of networking. Participants will brush up and refine facilitation skills, learn and explore a framework for how to promote and empower peer networking, and connect to other youth workers. We will use two different topics to practice. Topics explored will include the competencies and certificates for youth workers AND the intersection of youth leadership and service learning.

Additionally, participants who attend the whole day will be eligible to facilitate a similar networking session at the National Conference for Service and Volunteerism on June 23rd from 3:30pm to 6:30pm. This is a great opportunity to practice, learn, and do.

Time: 9am to 4pm

Please note: LUNCH WILL NOT BE PROVIDED. It is how we are able to offer this for free. Participants will be given 1 hour for lunch, and there are many options for eating around Laney College.
